IGUA-SA is of the view that the gas market at present is not moving forward sufficiently to enable industrial gas users to make key strategic decisions on gas utilisation from 2024/5 onwards.
ExxonMobil expressed interest in the local gas market and supply options and associated timelines are seen by industrial gas users as the catalyst for these strategic decisions – a matter that is becoming more pressing as time moves on. The timing of decisions on future gas utilisation is becoming critical to ensure gas energy security going forward and to elicit infrastructure investments for gas supply.
It is in this context that IGUA-SA will be hosting three consecutive meetings in the month of June 2021 with key executives of leading natural gas suppliers with a view to better inform the decision making of industrial gas users on future gas utilisation.
These sessions will be limited to IGUA-SA members, other large industrial gas and energy users and their respective internal stakeholders:
22nd June 2021 – ExxonMobil (Series 2)
29th June 2021 – Total (Series 3)
The objective of these discussions will be to enable industrial gas users to be better equipped to strategically assess the gas supply market and to inform its decisions on such matters as future gas utilisation, procurement, strategic investments, energy security, risk mitigation etc.
This event will take place via Zoom, a link will be sent to you the day prior to the event.
